Amada Multicultural Band

AMADA

South Australia’s multicultural song, music and dance band.

The band is named after the legendary Mediterranean island where people from the four corners of the Earth would come to cast aside their differences and rejoice in song, music and dance.

Paul Jewell – hammer dulcimer and percussion,

Di Hogg – vocals and flutes,

Rosemary Taylor – vocals and percussion,

and Betty Elsworthy – vocals and strings,

(+ many friends involved in projects and recordings)

present concerts and call dances from vibrant and exotic traditional cultures such as
the Mediterranean, the Balkans, and the Middle East.

Amada has close links with Adelaide International Folk Dancers.
